David Laing Dawson is a Canadian artist, novelist, playwright, and psychiatrist. His most recent paintings reflect the glorious Okanagan landscape, while his most recent novel, "I Swear to God", is set in Hamilton, Ontario.

Dawson was represented by The Westdale Gallery for 10 years, and then Gallery on the Bay for 25 years, and now Tutt Street Gallery in Kelowna, B.C., with solo shows every second year. His novels have been published by Macmillan of Canada and St. Marten's Press in the U.S. His plays have been produced by Gallery on the Bay and The Artword Theatre.
